1. COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies and other similar mechanisms to understand how users use our Website and for marketing purposes, including displaying advertisements elsewhere on the Internet.

What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer, phone, or other device used to browse the website. A cookie contains data about your use of this website.

Some cookies are necessary for the operation of our Store and cannot be disabled.

In other cases, when you first visit our Website, we ask you to consent to the installation of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies. What cookies do we use?
Essential Cookies
These cookies are used for the proper functioning of the website. You cannot disable them, as disabling them will simply prevent our website from functioning properly.
In this regard, we use a tool that stores your privacy settings. It shows your consent or not to enable specific types of cookies on our website.
Other essential cookies on our website are used for its proper functioning and management, including making changes to the website and enabling tracking tools that you consent to.
Statistical Analysis of Our Website
We use tools that collect analytical data to help us understand how users use our website. The data we receive from these tools does not provide us with information about a specific person known by name, but allows us to record various aspects of a user's use of the website. We may aggregate and statistically analyze this data and then use it to make decisions about changes to our Store and/or our advertising and marketing communications. A list of the analytical tools we use on the Website, along with an explanation of: (1) who provides the tool, (2) what it is used for, and (3) what data is collected within each tool, can be found in Appendix 1 to this policy, and briefly in the cookie consent management panel.
Advertising Cookies
We use advertising tools to display our advertisements on other websites you visit, including social media (so-called targeted advertising), measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, and tailor the content of our communications to the information we hold about you.
The Store allows you to subscribe to our newsletter. Therefore, cookies are used to embed a subscription form on our Website and measure the effectiveness of subscriptions. Modern email marketing systems allow us to combine analytical data from email campaigns with analytical data from the Store. We can use this data to optimize the content of messages sent to newsletter subscribers. A list of the advertising tools we use on the Website, along with an explanation of: (1) who provides the tool, (2) what it is used for, can be found in Appendix 1 to this policy, and briefly in the cookie consent management panel.

Functional Cookies
Some cookies on our website are used to enable additional tools on the Store's website, such as chat, a module for adding product reviews and/or star ratings, the ability to recommend a product to a friend, the ability to display recently viewed products in our Store, etc.
A list of the functional tools we use on the Website, along with an explanation of their specific purposes, can be found in the cookie consent management panel.
Social Media Plugins and Links
We have included links to our social media profiles on our Website: Facebook / Instagram / TikTok. If you visit our profile on a given website, the owner of that website will receive information – just as with users navigating from any other website – that you have reached these websites from our Store. Details regarding data processing by these social media sites can be found on the websites of their providers:
Facebook and Instagram - https://www.facebook.com/privacy/center/
TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/legal/page/eea/privacy-policy/pl-PL
We use social plugins in our Store, which allow you to, for example, share a product from our Store on your profile, like our product on Facebook, or save a graphic from our Website to your Pinterest account. Using such plugins involves transmitting information from cookies to the owners of these social media sites:

The service provider will receive information that your browser has viewed our Website, even if you are not logged in to the given social media site or do not have a profile on it;

If you logged in to one of the aforementioned social media sites before visiting our Store, the owner will be able to directly assign your visit to our Website to your profile on that site. If you do not want social media platforms to associate data collected during your visit to the Store with your social media account, log out of those platforms before visiting our Website. You can also completely prevent social media plugins from loading on our Website by selecting the appropriate settings in the cookie consent management panel.

Videos
Some videos on the Website are embedded using plugins from YouTube [a service owned by Google] / Instagram [a service owned by Meta Platforms] / TikTok. When you play such a video on our Website, Google / Instagram / TikTok receives information about this from your browser, even if you do not have a Google / YouTube profile / Instagram profile / TikTok profile, or are not currently logged in. If you have previously logged in to the aforementioned service, the service provider will be able to directly associate the video playback with your profile. If you want to prevent Google / Instagram / TikTok from collecting information about your activity on our Website, you can:
not play the video (we will treat your consent to play the video as consent for other videos on our Website – until you revoke it, i.e., change your cookie preferences),
not consent to cookies from this service on our Website,
or you can log out of this service.

More information about data processing by YouTube / Instagram / TikTok can be found at https://www.youtube.com/account_privacy / https://help.instagram.com/help/instagram/1896641480634370/?locale=pl_PL / https://www.tiktok.com/legal/page/eea/privacy-policy/pl-PL.
Some videos on the Website are embedded using plugins from Vimeo. Therefore, our Website uses cookies from this service, but they are not used for advertising or analytical purposes (they do not track your video playback in our Store). More information about data processing by Vimeo can be found at https://vimeo.com/cookie_policy.

Legal Issues Regarding Cookies
The legal basis for the Store's use of necessary cookies (indicated above in the "What Cookies Do We Use?" section) is our legitimate interest, i.e., the right to operate a website that supports our business, and the need to maintain its security.
The legal basis for our use of other cookies is your consent.

In connection with our processing of your personal data using cookies, you have the rights described in the "Your Rights in Connection with Data Processing" section at any time.

Our use of cookies, particularly for advertising purposes, may involve profiling. This means that we or the marketing companies we use may create a user profile based on collected information (e.g., email address, order history, device type, technology used, frequency of visits) and, based on this, formulate future purchase forecasts. This allows us to decide what content (including advertisements) to display on our and other websites.

How long do cookies remain on a user's device?

It depends on whether they are "persistent" or "session" cookies. Session cookies, which are information necessary for browser functionality to function properly, expire at the end of the user session, meaning each time you close our Website. Persistent cookies that make using the Website easier (e.g., remembering the selected resolution, content layout, user preferences, recently viewed products) will be stored longer in your browser and will remain there until their expiry date, unless you delete them earlier using your browser's settings.

Third-party cookies (i.e., analytical, advertising, and social media cookies) are subject to their own privacy policies, to which we provide links in this policy.

object to the processing of your data if we process it based on legitimate interests;

restrict data processing;
file a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if you believe that your data is being processed unlawfully.

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in each newsletter or by simply sending us a message.

Our modern email marketing system allows us to analyze recipient activity, i.e., it tells us whether you have opened a given message. We analyze this information to better tailor the content of the newsletter and notifications to your interests and send you personalized messages (profiling). APPENDIX 1 TO THE DARIA BARBARA design STORE PRIVACY POLICY
- LIST OF ADVERTISING AND ANALYTICAL TOOLS USING COOKIES
ANALYTICAL COOKIES:
We use Google Analytics.
The information Google Analytics collects about users includes: how many times a user visits the website; which subpages they visit; the date of the first and last visit; the duration of the visit; the page from which the user came (the source); the browser the user uses; the link that was clicked; the location in the world from which the user is accessing the website; an anonymized (shortened) IP address, etc.
Google assigns its own identifier (so-called Google ID) to individual users and stores data obtained from cookies from various websites on its servers. We – as the owner of the Website – may receive reports (statistics) from Google solely related to the traffic on our Website. These reports, of course, only cover those who have consented to having their visits to our Website recorded by Google Analytics.

You can find further detailed information about how Google Analytics works at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245/bezpiecze%C5%84stwo-danych.

You can also permanently prevent Google Analytics from recording information from your browser by installing a special browser plug-in available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Cookies from our Store's software provider
The software provider that powers our Store—i.e., the owner of the shoper.pl platform—places cookies on our Website to collect aggregate information about how customers use our online stores (pages opened and how long they spend on them, products displayed, clicks on the Store's website, and analytical information about purchases, such as conversion rates).
This data is used to create aggregate reports for online store owners, containing general (non-personal) information, such as which products interest customers, which times of the year experience increased traffic or sales, etc. This allows retailers (including us) to improve their stores and optimize sales processes.

You can read full information on this topic in the Shoper Store Visitors Cookie Policy.

ADVERTISING COOKIES
We use Google Ads and other Google advertising tools.
Google collects data from cookies placed on your device on its servers. This data is collected on all websites where you have allowed Google to use cookies for advertising purposes (including our Website), as well as from ads you have clicked on. Google uses this information to display ads on other websites you visit. Google cookies typically expire after 3 months.
As advertisers using Google services, we do not have access to the data from cookies stored on your device, but we can send advertisements to audiences with characteristics we select, for example, to all people who have visited our website (or a specific subpage) in the last 7 days. This data serves only as statistical material for us, and we only send advertisements based on aggregate criteria (to specific target groups, not to a specific user). We may also use (as part of our use of Google Marketing Platform) tools to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns (e.g., how many people clicked on a given ad over time).
You can read more about how Google uses cookies to display ads and how you can manage your ad settings at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=pl and https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7549925?hl=pl.
Meta Conversion Pixel (Facebook and Instagram)
We use the so-called "conversion pixel" (remarketing pixel) Meta to manage ads on Facebook and Instagram.
If you consent to the use of this cookie on our Website, then Meta Platforms services use this tool to obtain information that you have visited our Website. This information is assigned to your profile on the relevant service, if you have one. If you are not a user of these services, the information is assigned to a so-called "conversion pixel" created for you. "Facebook ID."
This allows us to advertise on Facebook and Instagram to people who have already visited our Website or individual subpages (remarketing). Meta Platforms then only provides statistical data on the effectiveness of the ads (e.g., how many people saw our ad, how many clicked on it), without any reference to specific users.
If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, we encourage you to read further information about data protection on these services at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/?entry_point%3Ddata_policy_redirect%26entry%3D0&sa=D and https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388. You can read more about the Meta remarketing pixel at https://www.facebook.com/business/help/742478679120153?id=1205376682832142.
Email Marketing
For newsletter purposes, we use a tool provided by a third-party company.
The email marketing system embeds cookies on our Website to display subscription forms and measure the effectiveness of these forms (conversion rate).
